my leo isnt eating much

i recently got a 3 year old leo he has fat tail his prevous owners roomate is who i got him from he told me that olaf (leo) was fed every day dodnt want him be over weight so i feed him every other day but he will only eat 1 to 3 crickets i have had him for 6 weeks now i take him out let him run around

He looks like a good sized and well nourished gecko. He may still be getting used to his new environment (even after 6 weeks). He's large enough that every other day feeding is fine. I find that right about now many of my leos are reducing the amount they eat and will eat less in the winter. As long as he's eating some, it's fine and even if he doesn't eat at all for awhile (some of mine do this) he's probably also ok.
