So I spent all day at work worrying about a potential power outage (that never happened) and making sure I was prepared to prevent the unspeakable from happening. Only to get home and find out that it did happen. Midnight my female afgahn bold stripe was found dead just outside her moist hide with blood around her mouth and a puddle of mucus/blood on the top of her moist hide. I have no idea what had happened. She was perfectly fine when I left for work 9 hours before hand. She was just getting over a minor eye infection that she had been to the vet twice for In The past month . She seemed to be completely healthy with no symptoms other than her recovering eye infection. Has anyone seen something like this before. No like I can change anything now but I want to know if I over looked something for the sake of my two other Leo's.

This sounds really similar to what happened to one of mine very recently. Perfectly fine one day, dead the next with blood on the mouth and strange mucus looking fluid mixed with blood. I noticed a yellow spot on her belly so I opened her up and it looked like she had bile leaking from the gall bladder. I don't know if you still have the body, but if you do, you might check for a yellow spot. It looked kind of like a bruise.

I don't have her body still. I buried her shortly after I found her. But I did notice a yellow spot on her belly after I found her. I thought that was just her skin getting paler allowing to see her insides a little better. I just hope this wasn't painful for her.
