Gecko temperament?

I just got my baby leopard gecko three days ago, and of course, I've already held him while putting him in his cage and because I wanted to check him out. He's not really that jumpy, he lays down in my had and stays there, looking around at things and even licking my fingers sometimes. Is it that Picasso is already used to me or is laying down just a fright response not to move? He doesn't look to be very stressed about the new environment or that he was in my hand.

Difficult to say without being there and observing. Could be he wasn't sure what to do or could have been a bit cold and enjoying your warm hand. I would still recommend doing a few weeks with minimum handling and letting him settle in and start eating, just to be safe.
