How to give away Gecko? (MBD, not eating)

We've had our Leo for about 6 months. A few months ago she became very weak, not walking properly. I believe she acquired MBD, took her to a vet who said so as much. For the past 4 weeks we have been force feeding her with success. She has gotten stronger and by all accounts improved.

Her improvement ended about 2 weeks ago. The main problem now is she has lost the will to eat herself. She can move around with relative ease....we have given her crickets, worms, dubias and she basically refuses to eat. This is extremely stressful. The only way I can get her nutrition is through force feeding.

It's gotten to the point that I don't think we can care for her anymore.

We would like give her up to someone or a company, and I don't even know the first thing on how to do this. We live in the Bay Area. Are there agencies similar to dog rescue services / pounds where we can take our Gecko?

Thank you for your understanding.

Google "reptile rescue" in your area. Check for a local herp society who may accept them. Put an ad in craigslist (this is the most risky in terms of finding a responsible person to adopt the gecko but it can work).
