I just got a new leopard gecko yesterday. She is very calm and super sweet but I am worried about her. I notice that she walks very low to the ground. I know she's kinda skinny. Her belly rubs against the floor of the terrarium. I have another leopard gecko that I got in oct. Her belly doesn't touch the ground when she walks. So has me alil concern. I keep calcium d3 in the food bowl and dust my mealworms with it so my gecko gets it. Will that help my new one walk better?

Welcome to GF! I assume the one with more spots is the new one. From the pictures, she doesn't look as if she has MBD (her legs don't look bowed). Is she being kept with the other gecko? If so, she may be walking belly to the ground because she's nervous about the other gecko. In any case, a new gecko really needs to be quarantined from your current gecko(s) for at least a month to make sure no one has any problems. I think you should separate her and see if that makes any difference in how she walks. It's important, as you know, to provide the calcium and vitamin D3, however recent information coming out suggests that too much of these can be as bad as too little. I recommend that you take the bowl of calcium out and just keep dusting the feeders. Let us know how things are going.

I can't really put her in a seperate tank, cause I don't have the space to put it. I just got a bigger tank today 20g vs the 10g I had, and she's active and seem to be fine. I just fed them crickets and mealworms. I do dust the mealworms. But since I'm dealing with tiny crickets they have been a pain for me. I just had one get out . I've seen them in the same hide and I haven't noticed any bullying, I'm like my older one, toothless, I've seen nipples at her when I first put them together. But since cleaning all the decor and hides I haven't noticed it. And since I got the bigger tank and can now for 4 hides comfortable with plenty of room. They have seen fine. Like I said I just fed them and there wasn't any issues. They both went after crickets and worms with no issue. Someone also messaged me saying it could be just the morph and personality of the gecko. Toothless, the more yellow with less spots, she's a very hyper and active, but notice the newer one, haven't thought of a name yet. I'm thinking honey, is more mellow and calm. I'll give and few more days and and see. I'll also post picture of the new set up

Didn't realize it didn't attached. Here's a pic of my set up there's plenty of room, for them with 4 hides. Two in the middle between the cool and hot side and a moist hide in the cool and a hide in the hot side. I had someone else mention in a message about not having enough room. But like I said I'll observe her more and see. Also posted the picture of them together in a hide

Most females do fine together, although sometimes there can be fights over dominance, but usually nothing too bad. I agree with Aliza, its probably just the new gecko is nervous about the other gecko, and also the stress of a new environment.
