My LeopardGeckos behavior is concerning me a lot right now. Her warm side temps are 90s and her cool side is 70s. She just shed this weekend, hasn't eaten in about 5 days, her poop is small with small urates but that makes sense because of the not eating part. She is a female, so maybe that has something to do with it? She also at night frantically climbs around the tank until I take her out and she just sits on me all calm. Anyone have any idea what's going on? Edit: I just weighed her and she's lost 2 grams

In general, it's not unusual for female leopard geckos to eat very little for awhile at this time of year because they're ovulating. Sometimes they do lose a few grams, but as long as there isn't a sudden huge decrease in tail size, they're probably OK. Make sure that the temps are floor and not air temps, otherwise it's too hot. Keep offering food and let us know how she does.

She's only 9-10 months, can she still ovulate? And they're floor temps and I'll try to keep offering food

Yes, 9-10 months is ovulation time. I've had them ovulate as early as 7 months.

Thank you so much! She ate yesterday but the weird thing was is that it was during the day like at noon... I noticed that she was looking at something like it was food and I fed her? Is something going on here

It happens all the time with some of my geckos. Consider it a nocturnal animals version of a midnight snack!

So she just shed and has shed stuck on her face, and under her eyes.. she hasn't eaten is about a week. What should I do about the shed? And she also has only dropped 1 gram

Spray the stuck shed area gently with water. Use your fingernails or a tweezer to pull off the shed.

Sorry for the bother, I'm not used to this irregular behavior... Regarding the food strike she's on, she also always seems to want to come out and just lay around, more than before, is this normal?

It's no bother at all! I think what you're describing sounds within the normal range of behavior that I've observed.

Thank you very very much! Last thing for now is that I noticed her tail is more thin than before, this is probably due to lack of eating right?

Yes, that's correct.

Quick update... She hasn't eaten in about two weeks, has only lost 3 grams. Her nose is still red I've been applying Neosporin. However, I noticed her walk is funny when she's walking on the reptile carpet side. I was worried so I took her out and she walks fine on my hands, do geckos usually walk weird on carpet?

It's possible that she's getting her toenails stuck on the carpet. I use ceramic tile and like that a lot.

I use ceramic on one side... It kinda looks like she's trying to move too quick without really knowing where she's going... It's weird, I was worried it was mbd but she's still strong enough to climb on top of the cave hide so

I have a lot of geckos that don't eat for weeks. There's one that was losing weight so I'm doing some assisted feeding, but if they're not losing a lot of weight, I don't worry, especially with ovulating females at this time of the year.
