If you could choose one thing to do with leos in your lifetime, what would it be and why would you want to do it?

woooh.... Thats a tough one... ME personally i would say to produce some healthy animals. Not nessesarily make a new morph. I havent bred leos yet, this year will be my first so i cant say too much. I guess my goal will change as time goes on.

I would love to be able to make a living breeding and selling my animals. There are a lot people that do it but not many that do it with integrity. Anybody can just produce as many animals as possible and sell them at wholesale prices. I don't want to go that route.

To produce quality animals and sell them at prices that will allow you to move the animals and to also make a profit...

That is what I would like to do. :D

I would like to have the time and money to start breeding. I am hoping one day, once I am out of school and settled in with a job, I can make a room just for my leos and be able to breed them like many of you. It would be nice to create a new morph, as well.

Ditto! (I know, such a cop-out)

That certainly is a wonderful dream and I'm sure many of us share it!! :main_yes: I'd like to add in some hired cage cleaners as well.... Actually, I'd settle for being slightly on the plus side instead of in the RED!

Another dream I have is to move to a house with a LARGE basement so I can have a large reptile room with a sink, a fridge, and a dedicated dishwasher. Ok, now I need hired help again....:main_cool3:

My dream is to have a 1500 square foot room consistently heated at 80 degrees. I know that's huge, but I can't have full size racks because I can't reach the high or low bins from my wheelchair. So the racks would only be four shelves high on a countertop I could get under. I'm sure some other herps would find their way in there too!

I'm with a lot of you. I want an extremely organized herp room (with plenty of room to grow into) and it would be great to do this for a living. Realistically though, I'd love to keep doing what I do now and have the geckos maintain themselves...where I could raise enough money from them, to break even on them.

I basicly want the same thing Jeremy wants. To be able to make a living doing what I love. I want my own reptile shop where all the animals will have constant individual care and will only come from the best of breeders (no whole salers). I know I would not be able to breed all the animals I sell at my shop so my plan is to make up some contracts with only the best of breeders to sell there animals at my shop. Kind of like a consignment type of thing. have not figured out exactly how I'm going to do it but it will be done....one day...lol wouldn't everyone love to be able to walk into a pet shop and have no complaints and no worrys about buying a sick animal. and where all the cages are perfect and well maintained? That is my dream!

I'd like to develop a bright green morph with purple polka dots, a vivid blue head and emerald green eyes. They'd also be considerably larger than a typical Leopard Gecko; about 3' long. I've never actually seen a Leopard Gecko and since I'm in Australia and will probably never want to live in another country, I'll almost certainly never keep even one, but all the same, if circumstances changed and I was to do one thing with them, that's what I'd choose it to be.

I want to create a Leopard Gecko that thrives on carrots and potatoes so that I can just skip the whole insect thing.

(can you tell I'm sitting in my basement listening to crickets chirp right now?)

Darn! I forgot to add that trait to my fantasy morph! :( (are cockroaches popular over there, or does everyone use crickets? How popular are mealworms?) Can I add "carrot feeder" to mine now? I'd also like it to be facultatively parthenogenetic, psychic and friendly.

Well...I don´t think I ever will be able to live on breeding geckos! Everytime I have a little gecko money left over, I see a new beautiful one I must have!

My wishes for the future is that my Leos will stay healthy and that I will get new lovely offsprings every spring...

My dream is to create a black leo with a full carrot tail and black eyes. Don't know if it could happen or not, but it would look pretty cool.

I would like to have a little colony of self maintaining leos and other herps in the future and if I make a few bucks out of it and make a few little (and big) kids happy, then all the better.

I want to produce some very very very white super giant albinos :main_yes: Its been my goal for like a year. Im thinking the mack snow gene might help with that goal.

A mack super snow, super gaint, tremper albino, blizzard would be amazing :main_thumbsup:

It's really cool to see what people want to do if they had the chance. I'm not sure whether this is possible or not but I would love to go to the middle east and catch some wild leos. It's been my dream for a while and hopefully someday it might come true.

Paul that would be really cool if you did that. Oh and if you do, send a few my way please! :main_laugh:
