Do leos hibernate? Kinda like beardies do in the winter? I've noticed my leo sleeping more in her cool hides. Somedays she's out on her heat pad and then she eats crickets. She is still nice and fat, doesn't appear to be losing any weight.

The correct term is actually "brumate" since they don't get into that deep, undusturbed sleep that hibernation is. Just like with beardies, some do and some don't. About 2/3 of my leos brumated last season, moving to the cool areas and sleeping most of the time. My beardie, actually, did not. Since the beginning of the month, my adult leos have had a real appetite reduction as they do every year. They are being fed every 3 days and some aren't hungry even then.

Thats what I was assuming. My room has dropped a bit in tempature due to the cooler weather outside and im just wondering if that will have effect on my geckos. Usually my room is about 82 but lately the lowest its got was 77 this past week.
