a fat-tail is just another species of gecko
diffrence'es are temp & humidity and fat-tail's arnt as popular as leo's

I think the major difference is the need for humidity. fat tails need more humidity than leopard geckos. I dont have fat tails so Im not completely sure.

These are two different species. African Fat-Tailed Geckos require a higher humidity than Leopard Geckos. Fat tails are native to West Africa, while Leopard Geckos are native to Afghanistan, Pakistan, and India.
