    Default Just Wondering

    Is it normal that my gecko really never comes out during the day? He does while hes eating but he makes his way back into his hide afterwards. I catch him out sometimes at night but I don't see him often during the day. He's very friendly and healthy, he just doesn't really walk around alot.

    Leopard geckos are nocturnal, meaning they sleep during the day and are awake at night. Much like an owl.

    We are diurnal meaning we are awake during the day and asleep during the night.

    So, yes it’s normal.
    There = She is there now.
    Their = They have their things.
    They're = They're going to the mall.
    Your = Your dinner is ready.
    You're = I hope you're having a good day.

    Actually they are crepuscular animals meaning they are mainly active during dusk and dawn, but yes it is normal to not see them active during the day.

    I know that leopard geckos are more active at night but Leopold is active throughout the whole day and night. He roams around all the time and then takes naps every so often. He does take more naps during the day though.

    Ya that's probably the reason. Lamps are completely unnecessary and will stress you Leo out. Only heat source needed is an UTH
