Being this upcoming 2014 season will be my first breeding season I was wondering if I should buy an incubator at a show in January or should I just make one and if so how? Also what is the perfect thing to incubate them on.. Vermiculite or perlite... And what is the perfect water to substrate ration.. Thanks

Here are some resources:
Making an incubator:
DIY: Incubator from a Compact Refrigerator | Gecko Time
(there are also probably many other plans if you google)

one way to prepare egg box substrate:
Albey's How To Incubate Leopard Gecko Eggs

Incubator suggestions:
--Zoomed incubator which is like the hobovator but already includes the proportional thermostat. Be aware that if the incubator is in a room that gets hotter than the temperature you want to incubate at, this incubator will not cool

--Reptipro6000 which is a mini-fridge type of incubator that both heats and cools as needed.

Each of these is around $150.
