As the majority have said,

I personally wouldn't recommend it! Hamsters/Guinea Pigs/Dogs/Cats, or any other animals have the potential to hurt your gecko seriously bad. Dogs and Cats are preditorial animals, the majority of the time they will view something as prey. Although you may think they are looking at it "innocently" and something may never happen. I wouldn't even let it get the chance, because once it's done, it's done, and your gecko could be toast.

I have a rescue Iguana, that was put into this situation...The previous owners had a dog, dog and iguana always got along there was never a problem. Till one day after being together for about 8 years, the dog decided to take a chance, bit the iguana in the back and now the iguana is paralized. It wont deficate on it's own, it needs to have it's belly massaged, she cannot climb, walk, or do all the things Iguana's love to do. Her lifespan has been dramatically shortened, and lives a completely different lifestyle due to that one second that could have been avoided if they used common sense.

Please remember, we decided to take these animals into captivity, they didn't ask us. Putting them into unnecessary situations/stress isn't fair to your pet, and could be potentially dangerous.

To me, since I am going to be a teacher, there is nothing such as a stupid question. Its ignorant to not ask! :main_thumbsup:

As for advice on this, its not the best idea and would probably end up in a bad situation. With reptiles, its not a good idea to mix with anything else except for other reptiles that are compatible to keep with each other and theres still not many you can do that with.

Most people that have been harsh with their comments havn't been members of this site for too long. Make sure the info you get is from people that are knowledgable and are able to give correct informtion in a way that helps and encourages the person to continue to inquire for the right info. If they want to be rude then find someone else to ask.

This site is full of people that have the experience and the mind set to help people in the correct way. Thats what is so great about GF!:main_yes:

maybe this thread should be closed? Joseph's question has been aswered multiple times and from now on people will just stand their ground...Otherwise this topic descends into: can you put person A and person B in the same enclosure :)

This thread reminded me of a time I went to a reptile store. They had a set-up for 2 large rabbits in the front of the store with hay and other farm-like theme items. They also had a free roaming adult iguana. This iguana was freakin' huge. One day while browsing around, I heard a weird noise. I looked into the rabbit section of the store and guess what I saw? The iguana had a big chunk of white fur in it's mouth. But that's not the worst part. The rabbit bit a huge hole on the neck of the iguana and he was gushing blood. Luckily the owner of the store knew how to stop the bleeding. Too bad he didn't know not to leave a iguana roaming around with rabbits. UGH!!!!

While we might have strong feelings about a subject, it's not OK to berate someone for posting what you might feel is a stupid question. It's certainly OK to tell people our opinions; on this forum, we just ask that it be done tactfully - no matter how silly the question may or may not seem.

Thanks in advance for your future cooperation. :)
