So Uros don't always hunker down flat on a tree and become invisible. Sometimes they hand out in the most uncomfortable position imaginable... like this one-

and then sometimes they do just hunker down... and it's a good thing I haven't found a good matching log yet, or you wouldn't be able to see him at all.

I know what you mean, my male fimb especially seems to pick weird sleeping positions. The henk doesn't even match his branches all that well and half the time I spend 15-20 min just trying to figure out where he is. Camo at it's finest.

I've noticed in my male fimbs too, but not the mossies or the female fimbs.

Yeah same here, the henk almost always is plastered to a branch and the female fimb is either hanging on the wall or in the same position. Only the male sometimes sleeps all stretched out or hanging by his back feet or draped over two branches and what not. I wonder if there's some sort of consistency with male fimbs doing that and if there's a reason for it.

Not anywhere near the same kind of gecko --my gold dust day gecko does a mean imitation of the bromiliad leaves most days.

I figure there are enough of us now with them, and these guys hang out in enough strange positions that I will keep this thing going for a while. I'm gonna start taking pics of the strange positions I find mine in, and welcome others to join in.

Sometimes it's not really that position is all that strange, but to see them at 6:30 am and 6:30 pm still having not moved is nothing short of ridiculous.

That's the case of this position. He was like this when I checked on them in the am, and still the same when I got home. How his legs aren't cramping is beyond me.

we all have seen others post their guentheri in Ninja Poses (maybe)... here one of my males demonstrates the Cat Style which enables him to walk effortlessly on bamboo with out falling!
