Niko & Mia moved into their mansion tonight and seems they are enjoying. Even caught Niko eating a cricket within 30 minutes of moving in. Both are currently hunting, so I see that as a very positive sign.

Sorry to say that Lea didn't make it. She died the same day that Niko arrived.

Both Niko and Mia have been drinking, eating and pooping quite well so I feel that these two will survive. They do get along quite well and sleep in the same area as one another. Finger crossed that maybe they will breed for me either this or next year.

These guys are so friendly, I thought they would be very shy but they will climb right onto my hand. Hoping I can get a couple more later this year at Tinley. Will have to contact a few breeders that attend to see if they might be taking any there.

I'm so sorry to hear that :( I thought that might have been the case after I saw your signature the other day it said 1:1 and I didn't want to ask :( I'm sorry, they are so fragile! Good luck with them.

Looks good. I like the big plants. I assume the wall decorations are spray foam I assume, but what's the finish?

Sorry to hear you lost another one. It's a tough thing.

One suggestion for the next time you remodel is to incorporate more bigger branches. I've both read and observed that Uros like large diameter branches. I can't think of a good way to describe what I'm saying, but think sidewalk instead of garden path. Mine spend almost all their time on the sidewalk.

Also, I've found myself constantly on the lookout for branches that look like my U. Sikorae. It's such a shame for me to keep an animal that is perfectly suited for camouflage in it's natural environment and not have the furnishings for it to really blend in. I just found the perfect branch for my male in the back of a friends pickup he was gonna burn for firewood. :) I really wanna get some pics of him perfectly blending right in front of my face. You know the ones, there are a few out there...

Background has GS foam, coco fiber and live moss. Niko was on the foam when he was snacking last night. Next time, lot more moss...I like the moss look much better.

I just haven't found any branches in my area that has the moss on it. I live next to a couple thousand acre state park, so may take the dogs for a hike today and search for some suitable branches. It did take me about an hour searching to find Niko this morning, the boy can blend really well when his snuggles down, only found him because one of his toes twitched when I was looking at him.

Guess I can get my macro to work somewhat, hubby's camera equipment is still way better than mine.
