So, I acquired a male frog-eyed gecko about 5 months back. I'd like to make sure I'm keeping him properly.

Right now I have him set up like a leopard gecko. 10gal tank, UTH, calcium sand. Water bowl and a hide. Hes done just fine, eats loads of crickets and stays hidden in the back of his cage.

Does anyone have any info. I would LOVE to breed him but I havnt' seen a single one for sale since I found this guy. Any suggestions on where to find a female for him?

Any info at all on these guys is much appreciated!

Sara, there is not alot of info out there on keysers. i keep mine on a mixture of play sand and a calci type sand, they love to dig and burrow. mine are constantly re-arranging there tubs. i also have a couple of hides in each set up. temps like a leo, and i mist them once a week. when i got them they wouldnt eat crickets so i started feeding them mealworms and they love'em. as far as breeders, there are only a handfull that have captive bred. most have imports. last year at daytona my friend picked up 1.4 keyser imports and they all died. if you do get an import make sure you quarrantine and treat for parasites. good luck with him they are awesome geckos i cant wait to breed'em my self.
