    Default I think I've found a gecko...

    Hi,

I'm very new on this, it may be my first pet. I was on vacation in Thailand for a few weeks, there were many Tokay Gecko (Tokay Gecko | Reptiles and Amphibians of Bangkok) in the house. When I prepaired my luggage for home, I've also picked a box with a flower. Last night, I've found this little buddy in home (which is in Bulgaria :lol2:

I think it's from there, since that's the first time I see a lizard in my city haha. So now, I'm wondering, is this Tokay Gecko, a little guest from Thai and what food should I give him? I've already put it in a 10/10cm glass container with a tiny cup of water, a few grass leafs, and a few flies.

If this is a second reply, then don't mind it.

Congrats on your new gecko Crickets and roaches are good feeders for tokays. Make sure to put gloves on when handling as they can bite. This caresheet might help you: Tokay Gecko Care Sheet | Gecko Care

Anyway, congrats, and I hope you enjoy your new gecko

Thank you for the reply! Here's what I've learned for now: it really somehow managed to travel with me all the way from Thailand to Bulgaria, since in my country we don't have geckos. It's possible to be house gecko, since it's ~1.5cm long. I put it in terrarium, this morning it drinked little bit water. I'll take some live food (crickets, flies or white worms) from the fishing store, because it doesn't want to eat dead flies. I think to name it Kea, which in Thai means "guest" (or something like that) :-)

It looks like a house gecko to me. You can google "house gecko care". I'm moving this to the 'Other geckos' section since this isn't a leopard gecko.

Important: House geckos need a heater and lots of humidity (70-90%).
