My friend and I are going to build something similar for my geckos' new cage that's coming in soon. Arranged a little differently, but basically the same idea. We just loved the way it looked! How did you do the stairs up to the tops of the caves?

I just cut the foam into little irregular circles and them cut each piece in half...the foam is pretty think and wanted smaller pieces. I then just used the liquid nails to to glue them together. I used the unsanded grout and added a little paint after it dried as well.

It wedges in nicely where the humid hide and the middle hide meet. This way if the Leo poops or a cricket gets behind there its easy to get to for cleaning etc.

This is so neat! I'm going to be doing something similar in one of my tanks :3

I have a question about the grout, though. Does it have to be non-sanded, or can I use sanded? And should either be sealed? Is there a cheaper alternative? Just wanted to explore all my options :)

Everything I've seen online says use un-sanded only. I would seal it as it makes cleaning up a lot easier.
