I just wanted to share my gecko's new home. I based it off of the climate and terrain of their natural habitat south of Kabul, Afghanistan by the Kabul River in the alluvial soil with rock "crevice" hides.
Substrate: Albuquerque alluvial soil + Eco Earth + Zoo Med Excavator Clay + Springtails + Good bacteria to break down fecal and decaying matter
Hides: 11 areas to hide
Moist Hide Substrate: sphagnum moss
Plant: Ice Plant - Jewel of the Desert
Humidity: 30-60% depending on the time of day
Temperature: 71-98 degrees Fahrenheit
Food: Crickets free range, Mealworms in bowl
Water Dish: Large and Shallow -- shallow enough that the crickets can escape from it!
