I was feeding and misting my crested geckos last night when I had the sudden urge to check for eggs before finishing up with the geckos. To my surprise my most anticipated clutch was laid, ON MY BIRTHDAY no less! I caught her in the middle of laying. I didn't realize this until I took the first two eggs out. I was thinking I can't believe a 2500 gram girl only laid me 2 eggs. I let her be the rest of the night. When I woke up this morning I was pleased to see 8 nice eggs, no slugs. Wish me luck, I hope to see at least one visual piebald in around 60 days.
Josh Marki gave me this great idea to put in dental floss pick to prevent rolling on the substrate-less method. Great idea, Josh!
I do have one question. Some bedding was stuck to the eggs. I tried to get as much off as possible, but some just wouldn't come undone. Is this going to be a problem for the eggs, will it result in mold?
