Mealworm colony vs ants.... what a morning

I had just recently started to breed my own mealworms. Started seeing really tiny mealworms in the hatchery area of my colony.

Then this morning I get woken up by my wife really early telling me we have an ant problem. I check the leo rack and on top sits my mealworm colony covered in ants!

Spent nearly two hours cleaning and swapping the beetles to a new tub. Then had to pick out every ant by hand from the hatchery area as the mealworms are so small right now they just fall through my strainer along with the ants...

Think I managed to save the new mealworms and about half of the beatles.

My question to you, how do you deal with ants or the like in situations like this?

Also do u think the newly hatched baby mealworms would be fine or would it be best to start over?

I think it's fine for those you saved just let them grow, as for any problems maybe putting your whole mealworm colony rack surrounded by water so the ants can't reach? If you know what I mean ... Haha. Just a suggestion. Hope you breed lots of mealworms to last a life time haha
