Im new to this website. I had geckos before and my dad was a member here and learned a lot about them. I was wondering what i could do to get my leopard geckos ready for breeding? Is there a specific light you need to keep the temperature low so that it makes it feel like hybernation for them?
Thank you

Right now is a great time for breeding. My recommendation would be to use Osteo-form(calcium) and Vionate(vitamins). I had a ton of difficulty with deformities due to vitamin "A" deficiences from using pet store brand vitamins and calcium. I personally prefer feeding dubia to my females through the laying season, to help them maintain good weight. Have your incubator and egg medium ready. Hatch rite is great for beginners, you do not need to get ratios correct compared to vermiculite and perlite. If you are shooting for females incubate around 80 - 82, males incubate 86 - 89. 84 is typically my "mixed" sex temperature. Lights are not necessary for Leopard Geckos due to them being nocturnal. They mainly receive their heat from the ground. Heat pads/heat tape hooked up to a thermostat is the perfect setup. I may have left some stuff out, but this is what I have been going by in my years of breeding. If you have any questions feel free to message me.
