I've had a hermanns for a few years now and would love to get another tortoise or two in the near future (nothing that gets huge). What do you have? What do you love about the specific tortoise? What would you get if you could have any tortoise you want?

My list I'm looking into is pretty big. Golden Greek, Pancake, Indian Star, Leopard, Sri Lankan Star, Burmese Black Mountain, and Marginated. I would love a Radiated, but I don't have a permit for one and the price is a bit high for me right now.

Out of the ones you mentioned, I have always been interested in getting the leopard and the marginated. I myself keep box turtles though, no tortoises at the moment.

Dunno if you guys have heard of it, but i used to keep a pair of elongated tortoises way before i delved into leopard geckos. I'd love to get at least one again but i need to focus on my leopard gecko career first lol

Talk about food during weekdays kind of busy for me have to rush out early in the morning to work which i believe everyone is the same. I will soaked the mazuri pellet in a bowel with some water and once abit soft i will feed it to me and cut some vege put a side for them to snack on it.

In the weekend Sat/Sun more effort will be put in the diet same Mazuri pellat will be soaked to soft and pumpkin/vege chopped into small piece and mixed all togather with calcuim powder, mutivitamin.

I do understand what actually happen, you should get a puppy for your boy instead a tortoise because their unlike dogs which's will run towards you when back from work and play with you.

Do take care of the calcium intake and ensure enough sunlight and drinking water for him/her.

Care to show us the picture???

We have two dogs now and he had been asking for a greek for 3 years. We keep putting it off thinking he would out grow it and tried to explain to him this won't be a pet you play around the back yard with but he did the research and knew what it needed so we found a good deal and gave in. To be honest he does feed him and helps take care of him but not as much as he thought.

On the calcium yes we dust his veggies. He doesn't get out into the sun so we got a UVB light along with the heat light. His tub has a water try so he can climb into it if he wants to and a few times he does but he gets fresh water every day.

I need to build a table for him but I have put it off as he is still small. My plan is after vacation to build the table so he has more room. I'm still working on a table set up that won't take up too much room.

I will take some photos of him and share, I will try after work today.

Sorry I was late kinda busy around the house. Here is Stanley we have had time for about 2 months and he or she is growing well so far. Weighted him over the weekend 398 grams so he is eating well.

I have the new enclosure design like I want it just need to buy the wood and build it. After I'm back from vacation I will start that project.
