KyleB here from Fresno, CA.
Long time lurker decided to join and post. I have a 7 year old Beardie named Harvey and my wife is getting a Crested gecko in the near future. I haven't owned leos in about 5 years and looking to change that. I have been considering breeding as a way to expand the "colony" when I get started, but with all these morphs out there its hard to pick what one. I'd like to get one male and maybe two females that would give me a variety of different offspring but am not sure where to start. Not looking to make any money just spend a bunch on some neat pets.

Welcome to GF. As usual, it depends on what you like. Maybe if you start thinking:
albino or not?
spots or not?
stripe or banded?

Then you can narrow your search

When my dad was breeding geckos in the 90's there weren't this many choices. After giving it some thought I'm only going to have one female and male to start as to not over expand to quickly. After finding the genetics calculator I learned a lot about what genetics are in each morph and how they are passed on. I think my plan is to get a Bell Albino het for Radar and Breed it to a Mack Snow and go from there. Looks like after a few years and a little luck I can get some really stunning morphs.

Update:: Just purchased a Mack Raptor Female.
After realizing how many offspring I would be looking at keeping after a three year breeding project I decided to jump ahead some and start with her. I'll be looking to pair her with another Mack Raptor for one season and be done after that. I think with that combo I'll be looking at some really neat offspring.
