Hello everyone! My name is Heather and I recently became a proud mother of a Leopard Gecko!

I got her from a "reputable" pet store here but I was told to put her in sand and with a red heat lamp; I've been researching Leos for quite some time and I knew that wasn't right so she's setup in a 10 gallon now on slate with an UTH. She was also crammed into a small cage with 3 other Leos who'd all lost their tails, but she hadn't and was bigger and healthier looking then the others which is why I picked her.

When I was given her I assumed she was a female - the store owner said, yes, that's right because she has eggs! Sure enough, she's got two developing in her. She may or may not have been fertilized so I've got a moist lay container setup for her with moss and an 'incubator' 16oz deli cup with vermiculite ready to go. I've also been switching on and off gut-loaded every other feed dusted crickets and mealworms but I'll likely switch to all mealworms as she seems to eat them easier and better, plus they stink so much less and we've already had a few cricket escapees haha. Curiously, I'm assuming it's normal when their tails quiver right before they attack? Love watching her eat, but that really tops it off!

I'm pretty sure she's a hypo tangerine but not 100% positive. Some help in identifying her would be much appreciated! Also, her name is Nut, after the Egyptian goddess. If I keep her babies I'll be sticking with the Egyptian god theme.

By the way, I'm Heather and live in Santa Fe, New Mexico with my partner. I have a long haired mini dachshund, tortoise shell cat, and a husky-german shepherd rescue. I currently have an incurable form of Leukemia and can't work so I have a lot of free time on my hands, when I'm not sleeping. I hope to learn a lot from you all, thanks for having me and Nut! :)
