hey :)

i am a brand new gecko mom and also new to this forum

about me: i'm from germany (so please excuse me if i don't use the proper terms for gecko-related things or mess up)
i'm 33, working in a daycare/nursery

about my geckos:
i "adopted" a group of three young female leopard geckos (i was told they hatched may 2016) since they've been kept together since they hatched, i won't break them up

as far as i know / have been told, they are a mack snow, a tremper albino and a bandit cross/high yellow (though i am not sure what the last one really means and whether or not it's one or the other or both at once)

i named them Mango, Lychee and Papaya (high yellow, mack and albino respectively)
other than geckos, i have a couple of giant african land snails. (achatina reticulata, achatina ireladei and achatina immaculata) which are named after sweets and chocolates :main_yes:

to be honest, i am very new with reptiles and i'm very anxious to do everything right. the geckos only moved in three days ago, so of course they are still a little jumpy and stay squished together in their wetbox (i got them with their tank and didn't change the interior yet, to maybe make it easier for them to settle down)
i was told they weren't really tame and were very jumpy when picked up, even biting, but so far, i've managed to pick them up a little and Papaya and Lychee already spent some time curled up in my shirt (i followed suggestions from here and there and let them climb on me, both ended up crawling into my collar and made themselves at home on my chest)
so... i guess i can get them to get used to me and being handled by me

this turned longer than i wanted, but i am still so very excited about everything :main_laugh:

i do have a ton of questions not answered in my books/the websites i went to and i'll have a look around here

i'm really happy to have found this place!
