Hey Y'all!

Hey y'all. I am Shana. I am new here now but was a member a long time ago. I used to have a leopard gecko but it's been years ago. Now, my son is soon to be a new leopard gecko owner and i remembered this forum. I am looking around trying to refresh my memory on proper environment and care of these cuties. My son Blaze is 9 and he has autism. He loves reptiles. He loves animals in general but has many allergies as well. So reptiles are a good option for us. I do know they require a lot more care than a pet store will tell you. I was a huge hermit crab fanatic for years and advocated for their proper care at the pet stores here locally. We are invested in making sure any pet we have is taken care of the right way. Anyway, just wanted to say hi. I am going to read and read to get myself reacquainted with the care.

Welcome (back) to GF! I would recommend an older juvenile or adult leopard gecko if your son wants to be able to handle him right away. Enjoy the search.
