Hello,

I am trying to get back into raising and breeding reptiles. I have settled into geckos, and specifically gold dust day geckos for my first attempt in awhile. I have previously owned and raised a green anole, a Leopard Gecko, and then a Bearded Dragon going into college.

Since its been awhile that I have been in the business of lizards, any helpful hints and tips would be greatly appreciated! :D

I sent you a response in your other thread. If this is your first foray into breeding, I'd recommend considering a different species for the following reasons:
--It can be difficult to locate, remove (I think they may be gluers, but I'm not sure) and incubate the eggs
--some people are very successful with tiny day gecko hatchlings and others aren't. I had a tremendous fail with L. williamsi hatchlings, have another acquaintance having the same problem, heard of someone else who succeeds with a very small percentage of the hatchlings, but know other people who have no problem.
--I think it may be harder to sell gold dust day geckos than more common geckos since they're not really a beginner species.

Still, if you're committed to it, go for it!

I appreciate the concern, however I am not planning on introducing a male in to the viv for at least a couple years to make sure I have a better idea of what I am doing..
But from what I can tell, Gold dust are not gluers
