Hello everyone!
Though I like to think of myself as an experienced pet owner, before now, I have never had a reptile of any sort in my care. Yesterday I unexpectedly became the new owner of one leopard gecko. Long story short, her owner was no longer able to keep her (and on very short notice) so this little lizard girl had two options: living with me, an inexperienced owner, or being homeless.
So now I find myself with a pet I have no experience in caring for. Obviously I started research the instant I found out I was becoming a gecko owner, and thankfully she came with most of what I needed. There's a few things I need to change (like her sand substrate) but for the most part, I think we're in good shape.
I know the basics of caring for leos now, but if you have any tips or other info you'd like to give me, please, please do! Like I said before, I am not an experienced reptile owner and I ended up with my leo very suddenly!
