I've wanted a ball for several years now, and practically stole this one for only $30! He/she nailed a F/T fuzzy that I offered this evening with great gusto and seems perfectly healthy. Any idea what morph it is? I'm assuming just a heavily patterned normal, but I'm still not great at IDing ball morphs...

Yup! You have a very pretty little normal.
(Watch out, though, they're addicting ;) )

Thanks guys! It has two small "spurs" near its tail... Is there anyway I can use those to sex it? (I don't know how to probe a snake and my reptile vet lives an hour away)

"Its" name is now Magamba (Swahili for "scales"). I'm taking her to the vet this weekend for a checkup/probing.

I actually took Magamba to Walmart the other night and "she" just hung around my neck the whole time... she has been taming in well. Of course, when my snake-o-phobic friend came over the other night, and gathered enough courage to come over and see the snake, Magamba struck at him. I was holding Magamba at the time and she didn't actually bite my friend, but scared him pretty good. She's only struck at me once, and that was right after I I'd gotten her home from the pet store. Figures that she'd single out the one guy that I know that can't stand legless reptiles...
Now I'll have to work doubly hard to convince him that they're not as bad as he thinks they are!

If you wanted to take a guess on the sex of your little guy, theres a trick called clicking you can try.
Hold on around the tail with your thumb just above the vent. Then slowly and firmly (but not too firm) run your thumb from the vent towards the end of the tail. It will take a few times to get the feel of it, but if its a male, there will be a slight click a little past the vent, kinda like a pebble on the end of a piece of elastic. Thats the hemipenes and viola, you have a male!
No click, its a girl!:D

She hasn't struck at anyone else since. :main_rolleyes: I think he was approaching her a little too fast and she got scared.

BTW, Magamba is a female. I now know how to probe and pop thanks to my herp vet!
