One week ago we had a butter corn join our family. After having Dash, our leopard gecko, for the last two years, the reptile urge hit again, this time with a snake. I was looking for one that was already an adult and had been socialized, and found our perfect match. Pancake is a 4 foot long, 3 year old butter corn of yet to be determined sex. Her owner spent a lot of time socializing her, but needed to get a second job and so wasn't able to take care of Pancake the way she had been. So far she has been really calm. We are just waiting for her to take her first meal before we start handling her more regularly. My 8 year old son, who shares my love of the scaly creatures (actually he started my love, lol), is completely smitten.
