Considering getting a Beardie

Im pretty well versed in leos and cresties but Ive been looking into getting a beardie theyre just so adorable. Im having a very hard time finding info on caring for them, everything is very conflicting. So Im hoping some experienced keepers can help me out with some questions. Mainly the lights and temps some places say 95 others say anywhere from 110-130 in the basking spot, others say anything over 110 will cook them, so can someone please tell me what the correct temps are? Any general tips and setup recommendations would be much appreciated as well. I dont have the dragon yet just trying to cover all my bases and do some research for now.

Read the care sheets at beardeddragon.org. I believe the juvies need it hotter than the adults. I have 2 adults and don't measure temp, just put a basking flood light (not a compact florescent) at one end of the cage with something they can climb on to get close to it. Remember that you will ultimately need a 40 gallon tank at a minimum, florescent light that you'll have to replace every 6 months and a basking flood light. They're fun to keep but a bit expensive.

Thanks Aliza I just found beardeddragon.org lots of helpful info there. Im planning to get a subadult if I end up getting one. Feeding 3 times a day isnt something I have the time to commit to. Are they pretty easy to care for as adults?

Once you get the routine down, they're pretty easy. I change fluorescents in April and October. i feed crickets on Mon and Fri and chopped greens the rest of the week. The biggest challenge is to get the right greens (spinach and kale are calcium binders; they can be given sparingly but not exclusively) and feed them before they get rotten. I let them run around the living/dining room in the mornings before I go to work. I also chose sub-adults because I didn't want to deal with babies for the same reason. Once they reached adulthood, they self-brumate for a few months. Mine stopped eating and slept most of the time around early November and they're just waking up now (I think it's more of an issue of changing light than temperature though it's in the 60's here this week). I bathe them in the tub once a week (hydration).

That doesnt sound too difficult. The caresheets Im finding online are mostly for babies and it makes them sound like they are super hard to take care of. Im pretty excited to get one though Ill probably hold off until I can build up my dubia colony a bit more.

Gecko VS Beardie. Very hard for me to make a decision. Why not both lol. By the way, the first step maybe my preferences goes to gecko more, let's see what happen next, I still research and learn some facts.
