You guys may recall that Rex, my Uro, is a huge drama queen. He doesn't like to be handled (which I guess is a common Uro thing), he hates having his tank cleaned, if he doesn't like what you feed him, even IF it's something he eats and likes at other times, he'll kick it all over the tank and kick sand in his bowl. Biggest spoiled brat I've ever seen LOL

Anyways, his tank was in serious need of a cleaning, so I took all his stuff out, and started scooping. It was messier than I thought (I have no idea where all that poops comes from!) so I decided to take him out of the tank so I could clean a bit better with out him running around the tank having a heart attack. He had some shed on his feet that he hadn't gotten off yet, so I figured I'd add a little warm water to the Kritter Keeper I was about to put him in. He's never had a bath before, and he actually seemed to really like it! Took a few licks of water, and compared to how he usually acts in the Kritter Keeper, just kinda chilled. (He usually runs around like a maniac trying to get out). Best of all: HE DIDN'T POOP IN THERE! He's under the impression that if he poops in the Kritter Keeper, it gets him out sooner or that I'll leave him alone. Neither of those happen, but he tries anyways. Lol

Once I was done pooper scoopering, I took the Kritter Keeper, Rex and all, into the kitchen, got a good grip on Rex and dumped the water out, and lined the tank with paper towels so he could dry while I put his stuff back in the tank. Then I got a good look at his nails, and they were scary. Some of them a good half inch long. I can't normally handle him, so he's never gotten his nails cut, and nothing in his tank, despite my best efforts, wear them down. I had just gotten some nail clippers for the cat the other day, and figured that while he was being good, I'd give it a try!

I got a good grip on him, and tipped him to the side a bit so I could have a better angle at his nails and started clipping away, and next thing I know, both his front feet were done, and he was just sitting there with his eyes closed like "yeah whatever. I'm a Rex." I guess the magic way to handle his is to tip him over some LOL His eyes were closed, his tail was relaxed, he wasn't breathing heavy at all. It was so weird! I've never seen him so well behaved while being handled before.

But, like a retard, I put him down to get him a piece of romaine, hs favorite, for being so good, and as soon as I turned my back, he had pooped on the towels. Little brat! Oh well. That was enough torture for the day, I suppose lol

But anyways, a nice clean tank and new decor arrangement is just torture to him. Lol As compensation, he got a big ol' bowl of romaine for lunch. That made him happy again. He even came out of hiding for it! Usually takes at least an hour to get him to come out after a tank cleaning, but he came out in a matter of minutes for that lol
