My best find has to be either the eastern box turtle I found on vacation to the east coast,or the 5 inch baby western ring neck snake.it was tiny!

My best finds have been a few Sierra Alligator Lizard's (E.c. palmeri) and Sharp-tailed Snake's (Contia tenuis).

I had a pretty successful year field herping. My most notable finds (Central Alabama) include:

Several Ring-Necked Snakes
Black Racers
Eastern Corn Snakes (several different color variations)
Gray Rat Snakes
Eastern Garter Snakes
Rough Green Snake
One Queen Snake
Several DeKay's Brown snakes
Northern Red-Bellied snakes
Several Copperheads
Several Canebrakes (aka Timber Rattlers)
Several Cottonmouths (aka Water Moccasins)
One Eastern Diamondback (very lucky find)
And one Eastern Coral Snake (very, very lucky find)

I would have loved to have came across at least one Pygmy Rattlesnake, but they are very uncommon, even moreso than EDB's, so all I can do is hope for the best next year....

Best ive found in my backyard-

4-5 Eastern bearded dragons.
3-4 blue tongue skinks.
2 pink tongue skinks.
hundreds of common wall skinks.
various other skinks including their eggs.
hundreds of common house geckos.
2-3 eastern Dtella.
1 eastern brown snake.
1 red bellied black snake.
2 Carpet pythons.
1 Spotted python.
1 Eastern water dragon.

In the bush ive seen loads of herps but haven't always been able to identify them as they are shyer than those found in the suburbs. The biggest reptiles ive seen in the bush were lace monitors.

Cheers-

Darren

The best find in the past couple of years for me would be this male Cat Gecko (Aeluroscalabotes felinus). Picture taken in situ at Cameron Highlands, Malaysia.
