I can't seem to have my leo eat a lot. He's perfectly healthy, even has fat sacs and gains weight a little every week but he just doesn't eat a lot. It will take a week for him to finish 8 crickets or 7 superworms. I'm jealous of the gluttonous leos out there lol :D

I prefer my easy going eaters, as far as feeding goes. Amelia eats 2-3 supers a day, and will usually skip a day or two a week on her own, and Rowan just eats when ever and what ever he feels like, usually only 1-2 nights a week, and eats very little. Raven eats so much that I have more than doubled my feeder bills since bringing him home. I hope he grows out of this eating phase, as fun as it is to watch, he eats waaay too much!

@aliza: i would believe so. Guess having a different climate as well as husbandry really changes a leos behavior and mood. I do notice that when he does not eat, usually he would just drink water and not poo or he justs sleeps the whole day sleeping without pooing as well. Though he does go out every night after midnight, roam around, climb stuff and then just sit out in the open til sunrise. It's like having and observing a leo out in the wilderness haha

I'm planning to get him a female next year. I'm sure he's ready to breed by then.

I still want him to be a ravenous hunter! :D

(Wow this really suits the rants&rave corner)

7 super worms are a LOT of food for an adult leo. Even my 100g male eats about 2-3 a week and maintains his weight. He also is quite lazy and sleeps most of the time. Nothing is wrong with him. He's just doing what happy fed lazy reptiles do. Being fat is no good for leos, just like dogs, cats, people, etc so I try not to overfeed. Plus I like my leos to eat when I feed them so I only feed them once or twice a week depending on weight, age, gender (males seem to eat a lot less) and food interest.

Starting last week i switched his diet to full crickets only. He seems bored with superworms and thus he ignores them now. By next month i'll add a couple or three superworms again with the usual amount of crickets per week.
