Before i say ANYTHING, i wasnt sure if this was going to be too contro or not. I hope we can keep it civil enough.
Got into a interesting discussion on the whole CFA drama today. One side opposing one side for the take down of the company. For those who may not know yet or havnt heard Chick-fil-a, a fast food company, was acussed of donating large sums of money to "hate groups" or groups that oppose the rights of others, in this case LGBTQ equal rights. Along side of this, their president Dan Cathy was quoted on a radio talk show and interview expressing his views on marriage rights, taking the "marriage is between a man and a woman" route.

After this the Jimmy henson company(Muppets) pulled their support from Fil-a stating that they do not plan to to further business with them, as they just released a line of toys. Fil-A started reclaiming and discontinuing the toys claiming that they had safety hazards.

NOW as of just this week i believe there are semi-rumors about chick-fil-a employees making fake FB accounts using stock photo images to combat negative feedback on FB. However, while there are fake accounts using stock photos to do just this, it obviously cant be linked to fil-a actually being in charge of this. It maybe a few radicals.

I apologize if any of the links seem a bit biased, i tried my hardest to find unbiased summaries. If anyone has better links by all means share them, or just anything interesting and relevant of course.
My take:
The pres has his right to his opinion, yes. I wont argue on that. BUT when you start funding hate groups, thats a line. That drags the whole company into your opinion and imo, thats when boycotting is acceptable. What Jimmy Henson did was what they thought right by THEIR opinion, and i agree with it personally. So, chick-fil-a basically lies about the toys in spite, which is kinda stupid. I get it, they dont want to work with henson anymore but the way they reacted was childish. There was a better way to discontinue the toys without putting JH on blast. As for the FB scandal, i could see Fil-a doing that, but i could also see some radicals doing as well. HOWEVER. Normally, people who oppose gay rights have no issue stating it on their profiles, why would they need to make fake ones?
I have posted this on another forum im on as well for discussion purpose, as i did over there, i will leave a link to the forum rules here too.

I know most of them dont pertain here, but please, if you feel like you may say something stupid, or are new and havnt read up on them, check your self. This will make it a lot smoother.
NO hate or bigotry please. If you have a religious view, post it in a way that it doesnt effect/attack another person such as "My book says people who wear purple are lousy"
