I am on many forums. Forums for parrots, dogs, bunnies, etc... and every forum I am on is trying to promote their forum and get more users. I posted in the welcome section last week and not one person has responded. Normally the mods are the first to try and respond, suggesting to ask questions or make a preliminary post about your geckos`s etc... in fact 2 of the other forums I am on will make posts every now and then reminding users to check the welcome section and post a welcome to the new members. It is supposed to be a community.Just a suggestion. I sure am not feeling very welcomed.

Kim, I didn't receive a bunch of greetings when I first joined up here in March but I have slowly been getting more responses to posts. The moderators here actually are pretty active and friendly so don't count anyone out yet.

By the way, did you ever get any pics of Jack and Jill?

I just took some, the camera was close by, and since it`s late, they were active.

Jack

Jill

My geckos are weird.
Jack doesn`t have a hidy spot on the cool side of his cage cause he never uses it and just knocks it over.
Jill is the opposite, she has a humid warm hide, but always stays in her cool dry hide.

Hi Kim,
Sorry if I missed your first post. I'm on every night and do make a point of replying to any "I'm new" post that no one has replied to yet. I may have missed a few because sometimes I'm not on till about 1am and am occasionally so tired that I don't have the energy to respond. You may have just posted when I was on the down-side of alertness. At any rate, welcome to GF. Sometimes there's a lot of traffic and a post gets lots of responses and sometimes a post that you'd assume would get lots of attention just drops out of sight. It still happens to me and I've been here a long time as you can see from my join date.

Welcome to the forum! This forum isn't as active or large as others I'm on, so some threads have very relatively little traffic. That's a really cute little pair you have there :)

I also try to keep an eye out and welcome new folks! Sorry I missed your post! I wasn't online a whole lot last week with all the holiday craziness and sifting through 4 pages of posts when I made it back to a computer made for some oversights. Hope you feel welcomed now!

I am guilty of not going to the welcome section. So sorry for that. I am only on for a limited time and spend most of that moving posts around to the correct areas, so it takes away my posting time. There are not as many active members here now, but this is still a great place. Hope you stay around. You will get more posts from others as the recognize and see your name more.
