also what could i use to make the photos more interesting. atm im only taking pics of it when its in the tank with nothing in the tank

(ONLY IF IT WONT RUN) try putting him/her outside on the grass or in flowers or on a rock in the daytime. the natural light and setting will 1) enhance its color and pattern and 2) make hte photos more interesting and "eye catching"
