JMG Reptiles and other breeders?

Recently I have been looking at several websites only to find out that the website doesn't have any animals on it, the page hasn't been updated, or the breeder is no longer in business.

One website I was in question of would be JMG reptiles. I was recently on their website, and noticed that some of their animals were priced REALLY high. Much higher than any I have EVER seen. 250 for a Super Hypo, and 800 for a blood hypo. Is JMG reptiles still in business? Or has their page not been updated in a while? Or are their animals actually that price?

I mean no disrespect in posting this thread.

Last I checked they were still in business. They do have some really high priced geckos and some people buy them for that price because they want those bloodlines and they also really like what they see. JMG also has geckos for lower prices. I've bought several geckos from them (the last was a fat tail gecko I got about a year ago) and each was under $200, in some cases under $100. They have a huge volume of geckos and can't really take a picture of each gecko they have for sale like a smaller breeder can. They periodically post a fat tail gecko price list on kingsnake.com. They sometimes take a while to respond if you send them an email, but if you're looking for something in particular, it's worth asking. I've always been satisfied with what I've gotten from them.
As far as other breeders not updating their websites, I have a website and it can take a lot of time. Sometimes it takes me a few months just to free up enough time to take the pictures and post them (I actually updated my website this past Sunday, finally).

You should also check if the breeder has a Facebook page or even a Youtube Channel. Often times the Facebook page will be way more up to date than their website. Facebook is just much easier to deal with than updating a website.

I know what you mean. Better to look at Facebook pages. But as for jmg those prices are current especially their blood hypos which in my opinion are the best out there.

Thank you guys for the responses, and the advice. I have read nothing but good things about JMG reptiles, and was very interested in getting some of their bloodlines in my collection. Still am, just wanted to be sure their page is still current. I will also check them out on FB, thanks guys.

I've been looking for JMG as well. The last pics on their site were batches in 2013. And the Facebook page isn't very active either. So if you figure out how to purchase from them, let mw know lol!

Send JMG an email telling them what you're looking for and hopefully they'll send you some suggestions. If they don't respond to the email try calling them. I once chased them around for 6 months trying to buy an AFT from them and even asked Thad to intervene because he's in the same state. It all worked out in the end and I have always been very satisfied.

JMG is still very much in business, but like many of us, they don't update their websites. For me, I had to pay a lot to update mine and chose to leave it up as is for people to find me with a link to my facebook which I can update as much as I want for free.

Prices will always vary per breeder and morph. Breeders who are well known will be able to charge a higher amount than a newer breeder. Then there are certain morphs that are cheap and some that are very expensive.

I will ask that nothing negative about any breeder is posted in this thread. Posts like that need to be in the business section only. That is also the place to check for information about breeders and businesses. Any business inquiries should be posted there and not in the general sections.

As far as JMG, I always message Jeff when I'm looking for something and he always gets back to me.

I went ahead and moved this to the business section to be safe. If you are commenting, please make sure your full name is included.
