Thank you Nicole - I do, too! She's got all the drive and "do or die" spirit of her breed, but she's been nothing but gentle and friendly towards my dogs, cats, "pocket pets", children and friends. :) Bob

A boston/jack russell mix? That has got to be the most adorable thing i've ever seen since I fell in love with Puggles (Pug/Beagle)...Both dogs are adorable...Larry is AWESOME.

Thanks Maia and Animeavatar! Larry is a cool mix and looks just as you would expect him to. At 20 lbs, he dishes out all the rough and tumble, my 55lb pit can handle. My wife loves puggles and wanted one so bad. I pointed out how as pups, they're adorable - but loose a lot of their cuteness when they grow up IMO. I showed her a picture of one all grown up, and she agreed. Bob

Ooh! I want a pit a boston terrier and a jack russell terrier. Sadly pitbulls are banned where I live.

Nice dog. If pits are banned were you live look into an american staffshire. The were once the same breed but the akc would not register a dog with the name pit bull so the split. And when this happened staffs were no longer breed manly for drive but for looks, will the pit bulls were siply breed for drive though now people are breeding them for looks also. To register a staff thpough you have to crop the ears. But this dog looks pitbull to me I like her got a big male red nose pictured here somewhere

Actually, until last April, you could register the SAME dog with the AKC as an American Staffordshire Terrier and the UKC as an American Pitbull Terrier. They are NOT different dogs even though most Amstaff breeders will try to convince you that they are. It is only all the negative connotations associated with calling them "pitbulls" (and BSL laws) that drives most Amstaff breeders to insist they are different IMO. Both my dog's parents were dual registered with the AKC and the UKC - so she can be either an Amstaff or a Pitbull if I ever chose to register her. This is always a hot discussion topic on Amstaff and pitbull forums. Bob

To me they are different because to me a pit bull is breed purely for drive while an am staff is breed for looks and most am staff owners have tried to breed out the dog agression so they can show them. But some even breed pits for looks like the blue ones, but the very serious pit bull breeders do not recognize a dog breed for looks even if the association does. Technically the are the same but a dog with a dog with a red nose like mine could never be registered as am staff, but for years it was very sought after by apbt guys becase many of those lines were well pproven.

I would love to have a pitbull but I hear that it’s a hard dog to train. I’m satisfied with my Rottweiler though.
