Catching a Kitten!

My neighborhood has a little feral cat colony that keeps having kitten after kitten. I'm in the process of trying to gather up some info and a small team to see if we can do some type of Trap, Neuter and Release to at least stop our current cats from adding to the population. One of my girls Cleo (Calico type cat) had freaking 9kittens not that long ago and seems to some how be pregnant again unless that a look a like. Luckily 4 of those kittens were taken by what I hope were responsible pet owners and the other 5 were taken to my vets office where they were vaccinated, dewormed, given flea baths and spayed if they were past 8weeks (they just keep pushing the fixing up and up and up), I'm happy to say they all found homes.

Today I was looking out my window and I see this little orange tabby running through the grass. It was so cute and reminded me of when I first laid eyes on Phoebe. Then another one popped out that took my breathe away and the mom wasn't that far away keeping an eye on them. Around noon I went down to take them some food (a can of wet food and a plate of some dry cat food), the mom ate it up but the kittens seem to still be nursing. I'd say roughly 4-5weeks but then again I'm just relating it to when I took in Phoebe. Anyway I stood there watching them for like 15minutes and I fell in love with the little dark one. It's black with highlights and small patches of yellow/orange. The cutest thing is that 3 of her paws are black while one in the back is yellow/orange. And all I can say is that I WANT IT! (not sure if its a boy or girl).

Enough about that who the hell do I catch kittens and their mom? People around here are just plain old EVIL! They put their dogs to chase and attack the cats, management laid down poision for the "rats", people have tried to kick them or hit them with their canes. Just last night some guy tried to kick my little Cleo but I said something and he was kind of shocked that I was upset and she was able to get away. I'll be calling my vet to see if he would be willing to clean them off and check them over because I wouldn't mind fostering them for awhile or until they got up to par and I doubt they'll tell me now because they are the biggest cat people in the world and have helped us with all the other rescues.

You can use those safe "Have-A-Heart" Traps. You put some food in the back of the trap, cat walks in.. steps on the lever.. and the trap closes. No harm to the animal.

Yup..! Those kind.. plus there are some certificates where you get discounted spay and neutering. If not.. we are about an hour and a half from you, and I can meet up with you to take the cats. Because I do all the work I get discounts!

do you know of anywhere that I could possibly rent a cage like that?

The kittens have moved and I haven't been able to see them but I've heard about sightings. Now another cat has given birth to 3more kittens these are teeny tiny and we would like to trap the mother and take the babies before they can run so they have a clean, comfortable place to be raised until they could be adopted out of something and giving us the chance to spay/neuter the mom before she is either released or adopted.

I made a trap once because a cat kept on coming into my house and pooping then running back out. I cant remember what the design was but i used my dogs old cage for that.
