I used to be an avid gecko forums user until my previous account was stolen. What is the deal with the calendars...I saw that there was a problem prior to with the 2010 calendars. Its quite a shame in all honestly because I loved all of the calendars. If you have a problem with not having someone to create the calendars I have all of the proper software to do so and experience creating calendars and other advertisements. I may not have completed college but I did complete my first year...i just was unable to complete my second year. I just thought I would ask because if there is a way to make it happen, I would love to be involved. I know everyone on here, as well as me, enjoy taking part in the pictures, voting, etc. Feel free to get back when possible :D

Calendars!

I would love to see a 2012 calendar! I am relatively new to the forum so I am not aware of the past procedures or problems, but I would be happy to help if others are interested in getting the project going.

I would especially love to see an daily planner/engagement book-style calendar. I find these really handy (much more so than wall calendars) and I think that they would make excellent holiday gifts. I'd definitely buy at least 2 (one for me and one for my mom).:)

Edit: Also... I don't know if there would be any proceeds left over from such an endeavor... but if there were, I would love to see them go to a reptile rescue organization!

I have no problem with anyone that wishes to make a calendar and/or oversee a photo contest for the calendar. I just don't have time to oversee it! ;-)

Dayplanner Sites?

I have been doing a bit of research on whether there are any "create your own" dayplanner sites out there. They are pretty difficult to find (most places only do wall calendars), but I did run across this one:

http://www.lifephoto.com/catalog/daily-planners/day-planners/

I don't know if anyone knows of any other such sites...

I would really love to see this happen (especially the dayplanner thing) but I'm not sure if it would be wise of me to take the reigns (given both my "newbie" status on the forum and the fact that I will be going back to school in the fall...) but I'd be happy to help out.

What do you guys think? Is there interest? Please speak up!

I'm not too active on this forum...but I have worked with another one to create the annual calendar. I know a great place to get them from and a layout that seems to work well and is able to incorporate several members in each month.

The costs is about $25 per calendar, and a bit more for shipping to Canada/overseas.

If there is enough interest and if no one else wants to oversee this, I would be able to lend my services.

Oh and the time to start planning photos/themes/etc is NOW ... Christmas isn't that far away and these calendars would need to be done beforehand!

On my other forum we have a monthly photo contest invloving multiple diffrent standars. Like fish of the month, invert of the month, enclosure of the month, pet, person, .
Here we could do constricter, venomous, colubrid, fatty, leo, crestie an so on. Over there we will pic two topics per month. Who ever wins can declare so in their sig.

As a new member I was really excited to see a yearly calendar photo competition section, but rather disappointed when I saw the calendar listed as being ready was one for 2010! Bummer! Hope this will become an active activity again!!
