All right what is everyone's set ups. What kind of fish do you keep, how many etc etc.

My current setup is as such:

29 gal freshwater aquarium
4 red platys/moons
2 golden wonder killies
1 golden gourami
1 banjo catfish
1 zigzag eel

Sadly I came home today to find a dead gold gourami and a dead spiny eel I had just bought sunday... Both looked completey fine and were eating great... I haven't the slightest clue as to why they died.

Yay! The fishes forum! :D

Will try to get some pics at some point.....I'm not home right now so will have to be later. I don't have all my tanks set up right now as I haven't had the time. I also have 2 more 38 gallons and a 30 hex....but the hex might get dedicated to some more reptiles! ;)

I have:

120 gallon saltwater:
-1 Niger Trigger
-1 Bi-color Parrot
-1 Panther Grouper

38 gallon saltwater:
-2 Percula Clowns (Nemo and Marlin, respictively. My niece HAD to name them. lol)
-1 Neon Velvet Damsel
-1 Lawnmower Blenny
-some snails

75 gallon freshwater:
-1 Red Devil
-2 Synodontis Eupteris

55 gallon freshwater:
-assorted african cichlids (breeding Electric Yellows, Bumblebee, Acei, and some others....too many to list/think about right now ;))

We have a 10 gallon. My favorites so far are RunnyNose Tetras. We also have platties but for some mysterious reason they always die. The RunnyNose Tetras are doing great. I have a school of 5 of them.

:main_laugh: Runnynose Tetras. lol, John. Do you mean Rummynose? ;) I think 'Runnynose' is cuter, though! :main_yes:

As far as the Platys.....do you add any aquarium salt to your tank? They do a lot better with some aquarium salt added to the tank. I've even seen them converted to brackish conditions and thrive. ;)

Yeah I guees I mean Rummynose Tetras Mari hehehe. Everywhere I find them here call them Runny Nose tetras lol. They are so cool. They are clear but around their nose is a bright red.

Didn't think to add aquarium salt to the water. One of the females did have some babies so we have 2 or 3 baby MickyMouse Platties and 1 adult now. We did have 6 Platties.
I did forget untill now we do have one huge sailfin pleco in the tank. He does a great job keepiong the algea gone. So good a job we feed him 5 algea waffers a day lmao.

I have a moveable pond instead of a tank. It's a 35 gallon stock tank and it's on my porch June-Oct. and in my kitchen Oct.-June. I started with giant danios, but they're not much fun to look at in a black pond. Now I have a small school of red eyed tetras (need to get more) and breeding colonies of neon rosy barbs (with some indian flame barb males to get some nice orange) and endlers. The pictures are of the pond in its glory last summer --you can see the cascading fountain I made too, and a close-up attempt of one of the rosy barbs. This summer I'm going to take out the water lily since the rosy barbs eat it anyway.

I eventually want to set up a small saltwater tank. Granted this is off far in the future but I want to get some Flame Angels and some of those black and white clownfish.

Tank Upgrade

Well tomarrow we are going to upgrade tanks. Just have the 10 gallon but I have a Tank I think its something like a 20 Tall or a 15 something weird. When I set it up I will take some pics of it with the fish in it. hmmmmmmmmm I might decide to keep my Rummynose Tetras in the 10. If not I will set the 10 back up when I get my Reptile Room soon :D

I never really had an "aquarium" as most of what I have kept has had it's own tank. I've set up a few aquariums for family and friends but I've never really had my own. I've stuck to mostly bettas with periods straying to snails, guppies, and gouramies. This is a list of the bettas I had while I was trying to breed them. All have died of a disease that I tried my hardest to cure but it didn't work. I still have no idea what that disease was. Their pectoral fins seemed to melt into their gills and very slowly choked and immobilized them. It was really heart breaking.

1 green veil female
1 red cambodian veil female
1 red veil female
2 blue and red bi-color crowntail males
1 red veil male
1 black lace crowntail male
1 black orchid crowntail female
1 black devil crowntail female
1 green veil male
1 red cambodian crowntail male
1 black orchid butterfly balog ray crowntail (found this one at petsmart! what a shocker that was! :D)
1 black orchid halfmoon male
1 black lace halfmoon female (amazingly long fins, this girl was simply gorgeous)
1 devil veil male
1 black devil veil female (I found this girl at petsmart and very strongly resisted grabbing her immediately, my boyfriend got her behind my back, my mom threw a fit for me bringing home another fish)
