Well truth be told if you're going to have sand, it would be better for damp/ wet sand for it to be held down. After that you'd have to worry about humidity which I hear is bad...?

Okay, so I've got all my stuff now so I can finally start getting settled in and so forth. My largest problem right now is heating. I have the largest desert UTH attached to my tank right now and it's only making 80f. Can I suppliment this with a lamp so that the tank air is also hot? The cool...
I'm actually just starting out (have yet to make habitat and buy my leo) and have a 29g tank. I figure as long as it's not a huge empty space that he can't keep busy in, he'd be fine.
