I would love to see an adult pic. Does the size difference stay?
If you go to my breeder page on the leopard gecko subspecies you will see full grown afghanicus PICS there. They are much smaller then normal E. macularius, females are about 30 gr. at full grown and males about 40 gr. You think you are breeding a 3 month old baby with these guys, lol.

Sweet babys i woder if them occasional babys no matter what you do that just won't seem to grow at the avridge leo size has anything with having (afghanicus) blood ??.

A&M gec's if you get a spare 5 minutes could you do a adult female typical (non giant) leo and a adult female (afghanicus) leo side by side.

Sorry for the late reply but I have been very busy. Here is a female afghanicus laying eggs at 30 gr. and a normal female about 60 gr.

Thanks for the pic!

Have you done any outcrossing and if so how does the afghanicus' size effect the outcrossed hatchlings size?

I have only done it with the raptor this year and the oldest babies are still young and I do not know how much more they will grow yet but I will update on this.

Cool!

I look forward to crossing them into my various spotted/speckled projects (I noticed most afghanicus have lots of yellow speckling) ...

Wow that's a pretty significant size difference. I'm excited to see them grow! Congratulations on your babies ^_^

Sonia, its a sub-species of leopard gecko. So yes...genetic.
