Breeding crickets & meal worms

A few weeks ago I bought 500 meal worms and 1000 crickets.
Is there a temp. you have to keep them to breed them?
Theres no more meal worms or crickets. And can you tell if the crickets are male or female and, how? Well what I'm asking is that how do you breed them. So i don't have to buy crickets and meal worms every month.

Oops i put Breeding crickets & mean worms. I mean meal worms. I wish I could change that.

Can someone tell me what they do like housing, food, etc. ?

I breed my own mealworms. I just let the worms eat until they pupae and turn to beetles, then I put the beetles into another container with oatmeal as bedding, carrot slices for moisture. In a month or two, you'll see baby mealies (they are extremely tiny, you might not be able to spot them).

As for the crickets, I don't breed crickets, but the male is more "squarish-looking" and make sound with their wings. The female has a needle attached to a big belly.

We purchase most of our mealworms at http://www.grubco.com/ . They are very cheap and so is the shipping. We get 5000 large mealworms for only $28.00 shipped. The shipping is second day for us but they quality of the worms are outstanding. We could get them for a lot less but we have not found the same quality as we do with Grubco; really nice and plump!

You can also do a search online by typing "breeding crickets" or "breeding mealworms". This will generate a ton of sites with loads of information.
