Breeding question!!

Hi I have a question about my aft's.

I have begun waking them up after their winter rest and I let in the female Nala to the male Daxter today. He began showing signs of wanting to mate right away. He was wagging his tailtip and following her and then he began biting her a little and she hissed and bit him back. Apperantly they do that for a while until the female lets him mate with her.

I then wonder how long that might take? Should it happen after a few days? Maby even weeks? I really really want to succeed this time and I have another female that would work perfectly with him too, maby even better.

The other female is amelanistic and bigger than Nala even though she's about 6 or 7 years. The owner wasn't sure what age she was when I got her. So maby I should even switch female?
Oh I should show pictures of course.

First the male

Then the female

And this is the female I think might work better since Nala is older and smaller than her. I didn't think of that at first...

good luck malin, just be patient :)it will take a couple weeks for sucsessful breeding and your 1st eggs, but check females on a regular basis. as for the amel femal deffinately put her with the male :) how ever I doubt she is 6-7 yrs old, she still has alot of color and most amels that age would have faded to where they are almost white. good luck!

Thank you I will try to be patient hehe :D I mean the striped one is 6-7 years, the amel female is just one and a half . Yeah I think the amel would be good to breed since the male has a little orange in him so it could turn out to be some interesting colours on the babies maby? But can I have 2 females with him then?

It's the first time I do this so maby I should just breed on one? I have taken care of leopardgecko babies and I have of course read about it too so I have some experience :)
When can it be too late to breed on a female?

By the way the terrarium they are in, I have a root there that maby is in the way? Should I take it out so they have more room? They don't have so much room because the male have lived alone there.

Oh okey so it's a yes that I CAN have the female there then :) I will remove it then but maby put a little house there so it won't be hard to find a place for them to be alone :) I'll show a picture later :)
