calcium bowl

I dust my crickets, and provide a little bowl of calcium powder, but i don't think my AFT has ever eaten or even touched the calcium powder in the dish. The dish is has a hole cut in it so he can see it and easily access it without any work. Is it necessary that i have it there?

That was the old school way to do things. I still keep cal with all my gex. I always have in addition to dusting.
