What is the minimum amount of vermiculite needed to incubate eggs? Also one of my incubation containers is slightly tilted maybee an inch because I can barely fit three containers in my hovobator 1602n.Will my eggs be alright?

I'd probably say at least an inch. I fill my tubs halfway, about 1 1/2 - 2 inches approx. Anything less than that I think you'd have humidity issues, but that's just a guess. If they're having problems fitting in the hovobator get smaller containers. I can fit 6 in my hovobator and they're still kinda bigger ones. You must have some monster containers for the eggs.

The hovobator 1602N arnt really that big.I can fit 3 tupperware container in one incubator. Sure i can put them in smaller containers but then i would have That many more containers.i can fit 10 eggs in one container.I have 5 gravid females so I'm running out of space.I'm picking up another incubator tommorrow. Is it ok if one container tilts a half inch?

I know how big it is. If it's working for you keep doing what you were doing. I thought you were trying to find a solution to your issue of tilting, and using different containers would be the start to prevent any tilting that your concerned of, and was a cheaper solution than buying another incubator. I would think that a 1/2 in tilt would be too slight to cause damage but if it gets turned around your doubling the tilt as it goes back the other way. If you'd rather pay for another incubator over the cost of new containers then that would solve your problem too.

Whatever the height of your container is; you need to fill it at least half if not 3/4 of the way full of incubation medium.
