This is an AFT I had a few years ago. The breeder sold her with a spinal defect but for regular price. I didn't really know better and he did give me a guarantee for 12 months that if she died due to spine related problems, he'd replace her. She did die, due to unknown reasons (And I didn't have the heart to get her cut open for a reason), very suddenly within 24 hours, didn't lose weight, didn't anything, just died. He never replaced her and blamed it on me.
Looking at pictures of dwarfed geckos..I'm thinking maybe that's what was wrong with her. She never grew more then 1.5-2" TOPS for the entire 4 months I had her, and she was a few months old when I got her. And she looked..very.. compact.
Here are some pictures.. RIP, Jellybean.
The last picture is pretty poor quality, and she had her eyes closed against the flash. She was still perfectly happy and healthy then, though. You can see how severe the spinal curve..issue or whatever it was, was though.
He tried to blame it on parasites, yet none of my other 7 geckos were sick, and she didn't lose any weight. She just looked off one night, something about her face looked..sad, but ate hours earlier, and was dead the next day.
