I don't know if you remember my post about the sick fat tail well, long story short, he was sick with mouth rot, I was telling them and I never saw them doing anything for him. well he got worse....a LOT worse, to the point where his mouth was hanging open and his gums were nothing but mouth rot and scabs, they had been treating him but it wasn't working, so finally I talked to the owner and I began to treat him. He was moved to the qaurenteen room and he got worse, he finally started to loose weight on his body not just his tail now. but then all of the sudden, after months and months of being sick and the mouth rot continuing to get worse, he began to pull through!! The mouth rot is almost gone except for a small peice on his lip where is looks like part of his lip is just gone and won't grow back. he is still unbelieveably thin, you can see his hips but now with the mouth rot gone he can eat again! he's more alert to what were doing, he moves from the hot side to the cool side instead of laying in his hide all the time and never moving, he still doesn't move that much being so lethargic but I really think he's going to pull through, because at one point I made a sad joke that if he were to drop his tail it would live longer than he would, but I was wrong he's getting better! Now everyone there says that if he makes it through recovery that they are going to make me take him home, lol. But man he is a fighter!!! I never expected him to live this long!!

Well you kind of mentioned death in a thread were everyone's hopeful for the little guy to live...I found that kind of sad, but maybe that's just me.

Well i had a flash back where my freind lost his first leopard gecko died from mouth rot, and my friend tried everything, vet visits was not even enough, and it is really sad the fact the hatchling from his first gecko died from mouth rot too, they were never together.
